About Bill Neale

 

Bill is a foremost painter of automobiles,drivers, owners, and people that are in general - associated with the auto industry. Motion plays a big part of his technique displayed in his paintings. His work can be found in galleries and collections of many of the world's racing greats as well as distinguished aficionados. His involvement with aviation often shows up in his work resulting in a composition including cars and airplanes.

His credits cover a wide range of automobile events which include Cavallino,Road & Track, Automobile Magazine, Car&Driver,Sports Illustrated and others. His commissions include posters for many Automobile Concours d' Elegance and Car Events such as the Monterey Historic Races, The San Diego Concours, Houston Classi-Chassis,Jim Hall Chaparral Museum and Carroll Shelby Nationals. He is a poster artist for the Colorado Grand Rally, an event that he is obviously proud of. His work has won numerous awards in the U.S., Europe,and South America.

Bill and his wife, Nelda live in Dallas, Texas; earned B.A. and M.A. degrees at the University of North Texas where he serves on the President's advisory council.  He did graduate work at Texas Christian University and The Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles.


Bill is a Peter Helck and Athena award winning member of the Automobile Fine Arts Society and serves on the Board of Directors.
